Anxiety in Children

Playground politics - an interesting article that looks at how parents can support their children with playground problems.

Our current school Value is resilience. Attached are a couple of adapted short reads that may be useful or reassuring concerning resilience. This key disposition helps protect against anxiety developing and gives strategies for building resilience in everyday life.

Following the meeting at GV 12.5.16 - here are the sheets that Paula used. I have also included an article I found which reiterated some of the same messages.

Is your child a worrier? Does the thought of everyday or new situations make them panic? Does your child have irrational fears? Do you hear the sentence ‘but what if…..’ a lot? Does your child struggle with sleep? Does he or she have issues separating from you?

This is a very common issue and you are not alone. We welcome questions from any parents/carers who would be interested in discussing ways to identify and manage anxiety in their child. We are planning to run some get-togethers in T4-T6 this year.
