Thank you for supporting the pupils by watching them sing carols in the Crown Glass Shopping Centre during the morning. Having fought for our pitch (sorry Nailsea School!) we then entertained the crowds with a mix of traditional carols and other Christmas songs we have learnt.
Many thanks for your donations...including the 6 mince pies! They were not easy to divide between 120 pupils.....!
Merry Christmas everyone!
Thank you for joining us at the Year 1 Carols Around the Tree event yesterday afternoon. The children did really well to learn the words off by heart to the 8 songs. There was a lovely poem shared as well as Christmas wishes.
Super singing, Year 1!
The big star has to show the way to the stable where a special baby has been born - but he just can't shine. How will the shepherds and kings find their way?
Fortunately, all the other stars lead the big star to the stable where he sees Mary, Joseph and the beautiful baby. He realises that Jesus loves all the stars, angels and people of the world and this love gives the big star the strength to shine again.
Well done, Reception children - you learnt your play very well!
In a courtroom in the middle of Bethlehem…
The cows feel pushed out of their stable and they want it back! The donkeys, accused of having invited over a whole host of people, including a baby, deny all charges.
Fed up by their petty squabbles and confused by the nature of the case, Judge Grumps is far from happy. Seeing this, the narrator offers to take him out of the courtroom to witness the night’s events firsthand.
As the judge encounters bickering innkeepers, self-important wise men, cool shepherds, some dancing sheep and a spectacular angel choir, everything starts to become clear. Rushing to the stable, the judge is humbled by the sight of Jesus and when he and all the characters experience the peace and love that this special baby has brought in to the world, it seems that the judge’s verdict is inevitable.
The Year 2 production was excellent and the children sang and acted really well....it was a challenging show with lots of dialogue and several tricky songs. Well done to everyone involved!
