Christmas Events 2018

Year 1 Carols Around the Tree

Year 1 pupils gave a lovely performance this afternoon of songs, poems and some Christmas wishes. The children learnt eight songs which they sang with enthusiasm! A very enjoyable concert that was heart-warming to watch. Well done Year 1!

Christmas Lunch!

Today was Christmas lunch day! Over 3/4 of the children and many staff enjoyed a traditional Christmas dinner with Year 6 pupils buddying up with Reception and Year 1 pupils. Some pupils opted to have packed lunches, many of which contained a few festive treats. Crackers and awful jokes could be heard throughout the school...…!

Year R Production of 'Whoops-a-Daisy Angel'

Well done to our 60 Reception children for a wonderful performance of 'Whoops-a-Daisy Angel'! You sang the songs well and said your lines in the right place and everybody ended up in the right place on stage! What a lovely way to tell the Christmas story.

Winter Music Concert 2018

What a lovely concert we enjoyed with a variety of soloists, duets and small groups. The orchestra delighted us with a Christmas Medley and many of the pieces played had a Christmas theme.

Choir Performances

Golden Valley's school choir has taken part in two festive concerts recently. Firstly, they sang at the Nailsea Christmas Fair in the precinct, followed by a Christmas Celebration Concert at the Methodist Church alongside the Good Afternoon choir.

The school choir performed several songs from the Christmas musical 'Hosanna Rock!'

Born in a Barn - Year 2 Nativity

What a lovely start to the festive season with Year 2's production of 'Born in a Barn'. The animals are very disturbed that there are strange visitors in their barn, with the sheep concerned that they 'would have tidied up if they'd known!'

Well done Year 2 for some lovely singing and acting! It was a wonderful start to all of our Christmas plays, concerts and services for 2018.
