The children in Years 5 and 6 strolled into the precinct this morning where they entertained the waiting crowds with their lovely singing! The audience joined in with some of the traditional carols which was great. Thankfully the rain held off for the duration of the trip into town.
This is one of the last of our 15 Christmas events - just the Year 6 party to go now!
What a lovely event this is when our Year 1 children sing songs, recite poems, tell us their Christmas wishes and this year, perform their 'Talk for Writing' letter for us to enjoy. (A special mention to Oliver for leading the children through this!) The children cope so well given that many of them are still only 5 years old and they learn all of the songs by heart.
Well done, Year 1!
We all enjoyed our Christmas dinner or festive packed lunch today. The children enjoyed telling their cracker jokes and an extended playtime too!
Thank you for attending the lovely Winter Music Concert recently. We were entertained by the school orchestra and a whole host of music items from soloists, duets and larger groups. Many thanks to our visiting music teachers from North Somerset Music for teaching our pupils and for coming to the concert.
A lovely production today Robins and Sparrows - well done for singing the songs so well and for saying your lines clearly! You all looked fantastic in your costumes, outfits and masks too. I shall be humming the songs for the rest of the term.
What a lovely start to the festive season with Year 2's production of 'Hey Ewe'. Two curious sheep are not able to sleep as they are certain something strange is going on...they eventually find out what is happening!
Well done Year 2 for some lovely singing and acting! It was a wonderful start to all of our Christmas plays, concerts and services for 2019.
