Golden Valley were the OVERALL WINNERS for their "The Scarecrow's Wedding" Entry.

Thanks and congratulations to Mrs Chandler, Mrs Nelson and Mrs Jenkins for coming up with the concept and for organising the family workshops to create the lovely accessories which adorned the pupils outfits. But also to the pupils and their families for taking part in the procession and looking splendid...what a lovely bunch of wedding scarecrows!

Summer BBQ 2017

Thanks to everyone involved in the GVSA Summer BBQ.

Final figures are still to be confirmed, but approximately £1600 was raised.

Christmas Fair 2016

The GVSA Christmas Fair was a huge success despite the rain! Occupying the new studio was the popular café serving mulled wine, cider and lovely cakes. The famous 'Secrets Room' allowed children to buy their parents Christmas presents, have them wrapped by members of staff ready to be placed under the Christmas tree at home. Lots of brilliant stalls...new ideas and past favourites.

A return of the GV Community Choir was great too - thank you for entertaining us with your singing and playing. Thanks also to Mrs Dean and the school choir for sharing your songs.

Congratulations to the Christmas Fair Committee for your hard work, but especially Rachel and Vicky - you can stop pestering Mr Lynch now!!

Swimathon 2016 Results

It was a great event! The GVSA would like to say a huge thank you to all the swimmers who took part – all 10 teams of pupils, ex-pupils, parents, staff, & friends. Thanks to everyone who came to support and the volunteer helpers, especially the staff.

Thank you to our generous sponsors Trendlewood Church, Tesco Nailsea for supporting us with drinks and healthy snacks, and Parkwood Leisure for our raffle prize.

We now need to make the effort worthwhile by collecting in sponsorship money. Please can you get your sponsor money in by the end of April.

Please note that Mrs Simms has a box of lost property from the event – if you’re missing any hats or googles etc, please go to Mrs Simms’s classroom.

Scarecrow Trail 2015

Last weekend the Clarke Family organised the second GVSA Scarecrow Trail across the town. 41 magnificent scarecrows were created and displayed for families to locate and identify (see photos below). The names of each scarecrow will be published as soon as the competition has closed and entries submitted to school.
