KS1 and KS2 Outcomes

Following the Department For Education's decision to remove numerical levels to assess pupils' attainment and progress, it is now a requirement for schools to assess pupils' outcomes as having reached an 'expected standard'. Tests in reading and mathematics are undertaken by pupils in Years 2 and 6; for Year 2, these tests inform the overall Teacher Assessment. In Year 6, the results of the tests are published. In both Key Stages, outcomes in writing are assessed by Teacher Assessment only - there is no formal test.

The performance information below is not current

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, most exams and assessments did not take place in the 2019/20, or 2020/21 academic years.

• Schools are not required to publish their 2019/ 2020 and 2020/ 2021 results, as these have not been published as performance measures by the Secretary of State.

• As these assessments will be returning for the first time since 2019, without any adaptations, the results will also not be published in KS2 performance tables in the academic year 2021/22.
