Performance

KS1 and KS2 Outcomes

The Department for Education requires schools to assess pupils' attainment as having reached an 'expected standard'.

In Year 6, pupils take national tests in Reading, Maths and English Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling. Their assessment in writing is undertaken by school staff and moderated by the Local Authority.

National ests in reading, spelling and mathematics are undertaken by pupils in Years 2 and form part of the overall Teacher Assessment for KS1. In Year 1, pupils' reading is assessed through the phonics screening test and pupils in Year 4 are required to complete a multiplication test. All other assessments are internal and are used to monitor progress and inform future planning.

Interruption to the usual publication of assessment data:

Due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, formal tests and assessments did not take place in the 2019/20 or 2020/21 academic years. There is no requirement to publish data for these years.

In 2021/22, pupils were assessed as usual using national testing in Year 1, 2, 4 and 6, however, again these results were not required to be published and do not form any part of performance tables.

We are extremely proud of the performance of our pupils in 2021/22, and despite the many interruptions to their schooling, their achievements are comparitive to previous years, as you can see below.
